Panasonic TY-EW3D2MMK2 Ultimate 3D Starter Kit (Avatar 3D + 2 Rechargeable Glasses) Review

Avatar 3D movie is great!

Buying this kit just for the movie and trashing the glasses

would be worth it.

Glasses can easily, and comfortably, be worn over

prescription eyeglasses.

3D better than expected

Pros
1. easy to charge (plugs into USB port on Panasonic 3Dtv), only takes about two hours to charge and charge will last up to 30 hours
2. cool looking hard cases for each pair of glasses
3. easy to clean with just a damp microfiber cloth that won't scratch glasses then wiping them dry with a dry microfiber cloth (don't worry, small microfiber clothes are very inexpensive)
4. sure, they weigh slightly more than regular sunglasses, but not that much...and I don't really understand why some people complain about the weight...cause the weight is extremely minimal
5. they are fairly comfortable and I haven't experienced discomfort or headaches one bit, even with several hours of continueous use.
6. very well constructed...you can tell they are "heavy duty"...easy on/off...automatically turns off after five minutes of no 3D signal. Cool looking design. You'll automatically keep them in their hard cases when not in use.

Cons
1. Panasonic didn't tint the entire lens. There are two triangle shaped clear spots on the outer edges of each lens. And, those clear spots seem to let in some light, especially during the day and the room is bright and/or you have light colored walls in the room. It could be distracting to some people, but I've already gotten used to it.
2. Not really any other Cons

What's in the Box?

Avatar Blu-Ray 3D Disc, two 3D Active Shutter Rechargeable Glasses, two eyewear cases, USB charger, rechargeable battery
